A sweeping, feather-like black gesture worked over a white ground, with gold leaf pressed in where the paint stayed open - fragments of it catching light unevenly rather than laid in a even field. Reads as calligraphy in motion, closer in register to the studio's darkest, most gestural work but lighter in tone.
