The blackwork went down fast - full arm movement, no correction. Gold leaf was pressed in while sections were still open, so it sits inside the stroke rather than on top of it. Square format, reads equally well hung high over a console or lower at eye level in a hallway.
Gold leaf inlay; expect minor variation in leaf placement, as each application is by hand.
